Freedom doesn’t always come from ‘letting go’ or ‘moving on’. It comes from connecting with the parts of ourselves that don’t feel safe to be seen.
I am a clinically registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society with over 20 years’ experience. I worked in both public and private mental health settings, gaining advanced training and experience in clinical care.
My qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology, an Honours Degree in Psychology and a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at Monash University.
I specialise in trauma-informed therapy, using evidence-based somatic techniques to support promotion of wellbeing.
My process combines a variety of practices to tailor therapy to suit individual client needs, including:
- Trauma Informed Stabilisation Treatment (TIST)
- Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
- Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Mindfulness
- Havening
- Clinical Hypnosis
- Body Mind Centering (BMC)
I am also trained in:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Interpersonal Therapy
- Solution Focused Therapy
- Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Schema Therapy
Overall my therapy focusses on pattern breaking without digging too deep into past trauma. If you would like to learn more, check out my therapy page or get in touch.
In relation to supporting other practitioners, I have completed the Australian Psychological Society’s Accredited Psychology Supervisor Training. I am also an accredited senior facilitator of Trauma Informed Stabilisation Treatment (TIST) founded by Dr Janina Fisher.
