Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) Offering
Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) is a body-based, neuroscience-informed approach to working with trauma and early attachment wounds. Developed by Dr. Frank Corrigan, it offers a structured yet gentle process for accessing and resolving the deep, often unconscious origins of distress.
Rather than relying on retelling or reliving painful memories, DBR works within the body’s natural responses — supporting the nervous system to process shock and unresolved experiences in a way that feels safe and contained.
Grounded in a strong, attuned therapeutic relationship, this method has shown promising results, including high client engagement and low dropout rates in early clinical trials (Kearney et al., 2023). While initially developed for PTSD, DBR can also be helpful in a range of mental health and wellbeing concerns where early experiences or relational injuries contribute to current symptoms.
Clients often find DBR to be empowering and tolerable, as it supports healing without needing to revisit the narrative of what happened — instead allowing the body to do the work in its own time and way.
DBR Consultation Groups
These small consultation groups (4–6 participants) meet monthly to deepen your understanding and clinical use of Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR). Sessions include case discussions, practical demonstrations, and space for questions, all aimed at strengthening your embodied integration of the DBR process.
The group format encourages shared learning, collegial support, and thoughtful reflection — while keeping the focus on refining DBR-specific skills and therapeutic presence.
DBR Individual Sessions
These one-on-one sessions support clinicians in deepening their understanding and clinical application of Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR). Sessions are tailored to your needs and may include case consultation, skills refinement, and the opportunity to experience DBR processing for yourself — a key component of the accreditation pathway.
This format offers space for in-depth exploration, embodied integration, and personalised support to strengthen your confidence, clarity, and therapeutic presence with DBR.
Whether you’re looking for individual or group supervision, I offer a supportive space that weaves together somatic awareness, trauma-informed practice, and deep brain reorienting (DBR)—helping you feel resourced in your work, supported in your wellbeing, and confident in your ongoing development.
